Russia to allot RUB 60 bn on regional education upgrade in 2012

The Russian government has approved providing RUB 60 bn to modernize general education in the country’s regions 2012, according to the government’s ruling released on January 6.

The largest amount of funds – RUB 2.96 bn and RUB 2.64 bn, respectively -- are to be provided to the constituent republic of Dagestan and the Krasnodar Region, while the Chukotka Autonomous District is to receive the smallest amount of subsidies at RUB 26.6 mm.
