Egypt to add 1,800 MW to national power grid

Electricity and Energy Minister Dr Hassan Younis on 25/5/2012 said 1,800 MW will be added for national power grid next month to operate Abu Kair and west Damietta stations at LE 12 bn investments.
The minister pointed out that operating tests will be started soon, adding Abu Kair steam station will be operated with a capacity of 1,300 MW, while west Damietta with 500 MW.
