Iran's cement factories produced 25.654 mm tons of cement in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), marking a five-percent rise in weight compared to the corresponding period last year.

The Islamic Republic produced 25.213 mm tons of clinker during the four-month period. The figure rose by almost 6 percent in weight compared to the same period in the past year.

Iran is projected to increase its cement output to 75 mm tons and export 12mln tons by the end of the current Iranian calendar year, press tv reported.

Iranian Industry, Mines and Trade Minister Mehdi Qazanfari said in August 2012 that the country's cement production capacity will reach 110 mm tons by 2015.

Iran exported cement to 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Oman, India, and China in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2013).
