Brazil adds 4.7GW to power grid

Brazil has added 4.657GW of installed capacity to its power grid this year, according to the latest government data.

 

Overall installed capacity reached 130.49 GW following the startup of 435 MW in August, Brazil's mining and energy ministry (MME) said.

Meanwhile MME said 2,516 km of transmission lines and 8.877 GVA of transforming capacity had also been added since January 1.
