Brazil iron ore, alumina exports to BRICS up

Brazilian iron ore exports to other BRICS nations increased 6.38% in 2014 to 177Mt but revenue dropped 22.2% to US$11.9bn, foreign trade department Secex said.

Revenue from iron ore pellet exports fell 65.3% to US$263mn, as volumes dropped 63.5% to 1.96Mt.

Ferro niobium sales to BRICS countries brought in US$396mn over the 12-month period, down 8.46%, as volumes fell 3.50% to 16,556t.

Brazil's alumina exports to BRICS jumped 869% in volume to 817,328t, and increased 862% in terms of revenue to US$237mn.
