The AFD Board in Tanzania has already approved more than Sh187billion to finance public and private stakeholders with a major aim of supporting the expansion of the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) Terminal-2 and grants to French NGOs operating in the country.

One of the French NGOs operating in Tanzania and four other countries is Medicin du Monde which provides drugs users with access to Hepatitis C diagnosis and prevention in Temeke District.

AFD provides support in socio-economic development in Tanzania mainly through concessional loans to the government.
