Venezuela and Ukraine shape strategic partnership

Venezuela and Ukraine are holding a high-level meeting to shape their strategic alliance in trade, energy and agriculture.
The European side is led by Foreign Minister Konstantyn Gryshchenko, arrived accompanied by a large delegation. According to the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the visitor has a busy schedule, including meetings with Venezuelan Executive Vice President Elias Jaua, and Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro.

The exchanges are a continuation of those held in Kiev between presidents Hugo Chavez and Viktor Yanukovich in October. Ukraine showed interest in Venezuelan oil, and participating in the exploitation of the Orinoco Belt, the largest crude reserve in the world, located in the states of Guarico, Anzoategui and Monagas.
For its part, Caracas expressed its need for support in technology transfer and agricultural development.
Chavez said Kiev as a key element in order to build a multi-polar world.
